The ultimate southern snack, Boiled Peanuts, are finally here in Portland! 

I'm Shawn, the owner of BOILED PDXNUTS, and I want to introduce you to my favorite childhood snack, Boiled Peanuts! Living in the south you can pretty much find them at every gas station, grocery store, or sold on the side of the street by vendors. They go great with beer and you can never seem to get enough. 

One fateful day, a local bottle shop posted about canned boiled peanuts that came to my attention and I reached out offering to make fresh boiled peanuts. I went to an event at the bottle shop with a small batch of OG Salty and to my surprise, they were a success. That was in 2019 and since then I haven't looked back. I have come to find others from all over the world who shared my craving and are now customers I look forward to seeing at each event.

All recipes use raw peanuts rather than the green peanuts we are used to back in the south. This is due to the lack of being near peanut farms in the south where you have access to them easily. I have come to prefer the raw peanuts since I made the switch since they give you more texture. You'll agree as well once you grab a sample.
